Shawna Holloman
Masters Level Intern

Shawna Holloman is a passionate and dedicated Masters Level Intern with over 10 years of experience working with children, teens, and families. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with a minor in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Albertus Magnus College. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sacred Heart University.

Shawna has a gift for connecting with young people and helping families grow stronger together. Her style is warm, down-to-earth, and creative—making it easy for clients to feel safe, seen, and supported. She specializes in building trust and rapport, especially with kids and teens who may struggle to open up.

Shawna has extensive experience working with children who present behavioral challenges, including those living with ADHD and trauma-related symptoms. She uses a compassionate and structured approach to help children build self-awareness, emotional regulation, and healthier coping strategies, while also supporting families in creating more harmony at home.

In addition to her work with youth, Shawna is deeply committed to empowering single mothers. She understands the unique pressures and emotional toll single parenting can bring, and offers guidance, encouragement, and tools to help them care for their mental health while navigating the demands of raising a family.

Drawing from evidence-based practices and a client-centered approach, Shawna tailors each session to meet her clients where they are, encouraging growth, healing, and emotional resilience. Her professional background includes work in schools, community programs, and family-based settings, giving her a well-rounded understanding of the unique challenges families face today.
